Haircut and Makeover
Jude gave charlotte a makeover today before we all headed off to the IMAX theatre to see the polar express. As you can see, Jude did a brilliant job, Charlotte is getting so much better. We met a couple of friends there and all stuffed ourselves with popcorn and chocolate.
A double sheepskin has made all the difference to charlottes comfort in the wheelchair, after 4 1/2 hrs in the chair one hour rest and she was raring to go, we went to the Hare and Tortoise Charlotte ate 8 chicken dumplings, (Gozo) and chicken, rice and miso soup, she did get tummy pains, mainly because she was so full, but she wasn't sick so thats a major improvement.
Going out more is fantastic, but it also exposes Charlotte to people who rudely stare, Charlotte is beginning to look at the reality of living with the many losses she has sustained. Please continue to leave her messages, she can access them herself now

My names April, I work with your mum and have been following your progress via your blog from the beginning. I was thrilled today to see pictures of you up and smiling. Im so pleased, well done.
I know it can't be easy for you and now you have to start dealing with people outside the hospital and their stares but dont let that bother or deter you, mostly I think they stare out of curiousity and maybe surprise but slowly you'll notice them less and less. Just keep smiling sweet girl and know that you have been an inspiration to many, myself included.

Charlotte just thought I would drop a little note to say how FANTASTIC you look, how gorgeous!!! haven’t met you yet but hope to one day, you are a re-markable young women and if people stare just think you have come to far to worry about that, know it will be hard but you soon will not notice it, hope you have a good time with your Dad he misses you so much, tell him to get some paintings done and sell them that’s the only way he will be able to afford the MASSIVE shopping spree we have planned for you when you come up here,. We have loads of fund rasing organised a least two more gigs, Sunderland Empire organising something and a few more things your Dad will keep you updated.

Hey Charlotte, it´s Morna (your sweet sis Soph`s flatmate from last year). I`m away this year and just realised your blog existed. I`ve been keeping up with Sophs on how you`ve been doing the whole time and can I say you are looking SO amazingly good!
You are doing incredibly well, Sophs always does say you are a crazy strong person! Keep on with the physio, I know that shit is hard but hey, you are looking amazing for it. We should totally meet up next summer when I get back to the UK-with Sophs we could tear up London.

I did pop up and see you the other week but you were sleeping, so i will try again at some point. Your room is at least a 3 star upgrade on the one in PICU! We miss having you around. All is quiet without you bossing me!
